LODGE PROFILES
The Australian Lodge of Harmony was consecrated in 1847 and is the fifth lodge on the register of the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT. It meets on the first Wednesday evening of every month and the annual installation ceremony is held in June. The lodge is undergoing a process of revival and will attract Musicians and those interested in the performing and visual arts. Members wear dinner suits to their meetings. Lodge Burns Wentworth Tuscan continues to be a lodge for professional,semi-professional and tradesmen in our community. Originally created as a lodge for builders it’s members come from a diverse background. This lodge meets on the third Wednesday of each month and is number 21 on the register of the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT. Members wear business attire their meetings. Lodge Castlereagh meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month and it’s members are from professional and e-commerce backgrounds. Castlereagh is number 72 on the register of the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT. Members wear business attire to the meetings. The Lodge Education Officer is Olly Bergstrom
Lodge Ionic meets on the third Thursday of the month and it’s members are from professional backgrounds. Ionic is number 65 on the register of the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT. Members wear business attire to the meetings.
Lodge Southern Cross was consecrated in 1881 and is number ninety one on the register of the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT. It’s members come from a wide cross-section of the community and they have an interest in the esoteric exploration of Freemasonry. It meets on the second Tuesday of each month and the annual installation ceremony is in June. Members wear dinner suits and white gloves to the meetings. Lodge Fire Brigades holds the distinction of being a vocationally based lodge attracting current and retired members of the NSW Fire Brigade. It meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month and the annual installation ceremony is in May. Members wear vocational uniforms to their meetings.
Lodge Kellerman was named after the Grand Librarian, Harry Kellerman, and is number 1027 on the register of the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT. The lodge is known for its cammeraderie and tends to attract young professional businessmen who work in Sydney CBD. It meets on the second Thursday of each month and the annual installation ceremony is in September. Members wear business attire to their meetings.
